In Luke 18:8 Jesus said that it would be hard to find faith left on earth when He comes back again. Hebrews 11:1 tells us that faith is believing what God has said, even if we cannot see it and prove it.
Many Christian theologians and scientists no longer believe that there was a world-wide flood in Noah's time and they attempt to twist Scripture to fit so-called scientific "proof". But they lose sight that: "If you refuse to believe until every shadow of uncertainty and every possibility of doubt is removed you will never believe. The doubt that demands perfect knowledge will never yield to faith. Faith rests upon evidence, not demonstration" (5T 69).
In this presentation, Pastor Bohr examines much solid evidence, given throughout the whole Bible, showing why a Christian cannot honestly adapt the Genesis account of a universal flood to evolutionary science's view of it as being some limited local event in Mesopotamia. He also shares some historical and geological evidence indicating that the universal flood account is true. Pastor Bohr ends with a warning that if science is our guide over Scripture we may well be led to also change other of our beliefs, such as the state of the soul in death, since some people believe that
"Apart from Bible history, geology can prove nothing. Those who reason so confidently upon its discoveries have no adequate conception of...the Flood, or of the great changes which then took place. Relics found in the earth do give evidence of conditions differing in many respects from the present, but the time when these conditions existed can be learned only from the Inspired Record....In the days of Noah, men, animals, and trees, many times larger than now exist, were buried, and thus preserved as an evidence to later generations that the antediluvians perished by a flood. God designed that the discovery of these things should establish faith in inspired history; but men, with their vain reasoning, fall into the same error as did the people before the Flood--the things which God gave them as a benefit, they turn into a curse by making a wrong use of them" (PP 112).
