Question: Hi! I was wondering, what troubles you about gays and lesbians:
Answer: Letters such as the one below from a beloved teenager do trouble me greatly:
"I know it’s supposed to be anonymous, but if you want to get in contact (if there is any hope), my name is _______ .
- What do you do when you have tried all the suggestions for overcoming, but you just can’t seem to shake it?
- What do you do when you feel hopeless?
- What do you do when you feel rejected by your family?
- What do you do when you feel so discouraged that you never want to try again?
- What if you have tried counseling and it didn’t work?
- What if you have tried claiming Scripture and memorizing, but it seems futile?
- What if you want to live, but kill yourself at the same time?
- What if you already have attempted?
- What do you do when it’s all you can think about?
- How do you deal with being molested?
- How could I ever be changed and happy? I have tried everything."
With genuine love and compassion I reach out to the gay community and to all affected by the issue of homosexuality. In an effort to show them the blessed hope I have found for myself in Jesus Christ, I share my experience of inviting and allowing Him to truly be Lord and Master in all dimensions of my life.
Twenty-two years ago the Lord rescued me from homosexuality. Through much prayer, study of God’s Word, and guidance of the Holy Spirit, I was able to find strait answers to all my gay questions and walk away from my old life and into my new life in Christ.
